New construction painting is a different animal than a standard repaint. You're working in the middle of an active build - other trades on site, surfaces that aren't always ready, and a tight schedule to keep. Getting it right means knowing how to sequence the work, protect what isn't ready to be painted, and deliver a finish that holds up once the job is handed off. That's exactly the kind of work we do here at San Diego Painting Works.

This home is a good example of what a complete exterior package looks like on a new build. The siding, fascia, soffits, entryway beams and columns, doors, and architectural trim all got full attention. The color scheme here - a crisp off-white body with warm taupe on the doors and columns and a dark charcoal on the fascia and trim - isn't just good-looking. It's intentional. Each surface gets the right product and prep so the colors read clean and the edges stay sharp.

What we also handled here were the wood fence panels on the property. Raw cedar and similar woods need to be stained early on new construction. Leave them untreated and they'll start to dry out, check, and gray out fast - especially in a coastal San Diego climate. Our wood staining work gets the fence protected from the start, so it holds that warm, natural tone instead of weathering prematurely.

New construction painting done well is one of the best ways to protect a builder's investment and set the right first impression for whoever is moving in. Whether we're working directly with a homeowner, a general contractor, or a property manager, the standard stays the same - solid prep, quality materials, and a finish that looks as good up close as it does from the street.

We work on new builds across San Diego County, and we're set up to handle the full exterior scope from start to finish. Siding, trim, stucco, wood elements - it all gets handled by the same crew with the same attention to detail, start to finish.
